THE
TRIP OF A LIFETIME !!
Thursday 14 July 2016. I left home at 1.20pm and had an uneventful
drive down to Mytchett to stay overnight with Yvonne & Richard, arriving at
4pm. Leaving my car with them saved me over £100 in car parking charges but of
course, meant a longer journey to and from the airport. Yvonne
cooked us a delicious chicken casserole for tea and I was in bed asleep by
10pm. Got up at 5.15 – Richard had tea
ready for Yvonne and me. My original
flight was 11:00 Friday so I bought my train ticket (North Camp to Gatwick) for
7am to be there the required 3 hours beforehand. Later my flight was changed to 12:50 but I
could not change my train ticket so had to be prepared for an early start and
long wait at Gatwick!
